Wireless hearing aid receives international design award

Widex has received the prestigious iF Product Design Award 2012. Selected from over 2,900 entries, the award was given for the design of Widex’ latest premium hearing aid, CLEAR, combined with the wireless accessories TV-DEX and M-DEX.

Aesthetic design and new standards in technology

Selected as prize winner in the category Medicine/Health + Care, CLEAR hearing aids are unique because they communicate wirelessly with each other – just like two ears do.

The revolutionary DEX accessories line enables wireless connection of TV, audio systems and mobile phones in stereo hi-fi quality in real time. Combined with CLEAR, it sets new standards in technology - without compromising minimal and aesthetic design.

The iF Product Design Award, founded in 1953, is internationally recognized as one of the most important awards for innovative product design. Read more about the iF Product Design Award (external link).

Repeated recognition for outstanding design

The iF award is the latest in a series of design awards that Widex has received in recent years.
In November 2011, the CLEAR FUSION hearing aid, won the prestigious Good Design Award in Japan, and previously, the Red Dot design award was given to Widex for the world’s smallest receiver-in-the-canal (RIC) hearing aid, Passion.
